If you have a dog or cat, it’s probably difficult to describe in words just how much you love them. Many dog and cat tattoos are inspired by this love, but what do you do when you’re not exactly keene on getting a Golden Retriever tattooed on your chest? Well, tiny paw prints on the inside of your finger of course! A subtle and fitting tribute to a furry friend is a tiny tattoo with huge meaning.

A vase of flowers anyone? Again, the importance of originality can never be overstated. Some tattoos were simply made for social media. This is one of those designs.

This design looks vaguely familiar which leads me to believe it’s already tucked away somewhere on this site. But since I can’t even put a finger on it, there’s a good chance it’s new to you. Most of the designs on this list are black ink only—or single color at most. The lack of color is no doubt due to there just not being enough room to add color and dimension. Which is what makes this tiny burst of color so special.

Sometimes you just have to represent. Which is a lot easier to do when you’re from somewhere cool like New York City. Tiny cursive designs look amazing just about anywhere on the body. Fingers of course are no exception.

If you’re all about substance, then getting a few virtues tattooed on your fingers is always an option. Each of these virtues are admirable, yet very hard to practice in reality. I know, I have a few things I need to work on but each day is a work in progress.

Please excuse the quality of this photo but it was the best I could find. The grain in the photo, due to over-optimization most likely, makes the designs appear almost fake in nature. Here’s to hoping they are (I have been duped before).

Finally the world is starting to wake up and realize that just because the government had an opinion about something a hundred years ago doesn’t mean it was necessarily the right one. Hopefully this means we can start spending taxpayer money on things that actually matter (sorry Grandma).

XYZ.

I have no idea what would inspire someone to get an X, Y, and Z tatted on the inside of their fingers but I absolutely love it. Sometimes the best tattoos make the least amount of sense.

Tattoos located on the underside of fingers aren’t too common and I don’t really have a good explanation as to why that is. All I can think of is that the skin is smoother on the top of the hand which provides a better canvas for the artist to which more detail can be applied.

Persist.

Here we have another little piece which serves as a constant reminder to never give up. To fight for your dreams and persist until whatever goal you may be striving for is achieved. White ink tattoos are quite underrated in my opinion. As opposed to black ink, white ink has a more subtle appearance which can be quite accommodating for those looking for a low-key design.
