In a surprising turn of events, women now outnumber men when it comes to getting tattooed. According to multiple polls, almost 60 percent of people with tattoos are female. That’s a far cry from a time when the thought of a woman getting a tattoo was all but unheard of in western culture. So what’s behind the recent shift in opinion?
