From lattes to long hours with the needle, up-and-coming tattoo artist Kenny Brown sure seems to have a firm grip on the concept of the tribal tattoo. And when I say concept, I mean just that. Brown takes from various different tribal styles and infuses them with outlines of states, flowers, and even names to create breathtakingly unique works of art. Brown’s uber creative designs are among the best in the business, and rightfully so.
But Brown wasn’t always working as a tattoo artist. His Facebook profile lists everyone’s favorite barista (Starbucks) as his former employer. I think I speak for everyone when I say thanks for trading in the green apron for a pair of black latex gloves.
In the very near future when you undoubtedly proclaim Kenny Brown the God of tribal tattoos, you might want to think about booking an appointment before this guy blows up, starts his own shop, and changes his status from “open for business,” to “fully booked.”
